The ESV is good too, there’s a reason it’s become the new standard in the conservative evangelical world.
I’ve always taken issue that Christians adopt the Jewish practice of not pronouncing the name.
There are other translations that break the mold, but none of them as good as the NASB, which this is based on. It’s probably the best modern translation around so I’m particularly excited for this edition.
Nostard enthusiasts are more interested in how they can get Nostr everywhere than implementing it in ways that actually make sense. Fedi enthusiasts at their most annoying are never this bad.
Apparently there’s a new NASB derivative called the Legacy Standard Bible. Not sure how I feel about the title, but what’s significant about it is it’s the first reputable, literalist translation to not censor the divine name (Jewish custom.)
