A while back a US-based pre-seed startup approached me, and ultimately I didn’t move forward. The cofounder unfollowed me on Twitter and etc. A while later, he messaged me about them showing up on the press (similar “feeling vindicated” vibe like the quoted tweet)
Sometimes people, especially ones who require a sponsorship in order to work in the US, do prefer the company to be stable, and not be in fear their status might be at jeopardy at anytime. It’s not always about the company itself
