It’s also why I’m hesitant of connecting with the HK communities in the area — Will I have to deal with the same toxicity back in HK when I meet them? Will they compare me with things to bring me down just like the people in HK?

I still think about the major power outage last year in my town in HK and how people punched down on the situation, being all classist and stuff. It was my last straw
