Or ask how much you pay for HOA per month and the value board members of HOA provide to you while taking big pays home. They are private sector but they suck blood every month and I don’t see people complaining. What about board members of a company, They get paid multiples of 100k for one or two meetings a month. No one is working 4 hours a day in a government and taking 100k a year. Government salaries are public information. The only major benefit of working in government is retirement and work life balance and you get paid half of what private sector pays you.
