The issue your describing is not a scrolling issue but a personal one. The way you scroll cannot encourage anything because it goes in 2 directions up & down. As for hard to get anyones attention it's not people read & either keep reading or ignore.
What anyone feels is important to say will say it but if you go that extra mile to do what you call shouting which is add a pic make extra spacing or spam a icon thats the type of stuff I just scroll right past. Everyone feels what they say is important thats why they say it & one is not less then the other.
Anyways to solve this issue you're experiencing follow the people you like then at the top of the feed where it says global hit that & change it to your follow list. When you find something interesting you want to keep up with follow it & you won't miss anything!

No depending on ur connection it may take sometime to update it. If ur using orbot & a vpn behind that it may take longer for it to update. Mine takes 1 minute before it starts to move & tell me how many I really have. So it sits at 0 for a minute for me then starts to slowly start adding numbers takes me almost 2 minutes after to know the real number of followers

It might along with everything else I said above. Yeah it has to check esch relay if followers are from there. Mine ususlly takes 1 min to update correctly when I look at my profile.
Welcome to nostr where ur follower numbers won't display right but they will be there. The more relays you add to your profile the more you will see each relay is it's own feed from a site so it depends if you want to see more or not. The more relays you add to ur profil# the faster your mobile battery will drain as each request to each relay is a constant fetch.
Any relay connected can delete your notes & you will have no notification of it.

Never seen the site before till now i'd have to look up reviews to see if they are proprietary fans or open source I see gmaps instead of osm. Sounds promising as an idea jist I find it hard to fathom these developers are sitting around waiting to jump on someones idea.
i would like to see an open source modem/router that can be made & programmed to run it's own internet network. Like tor, lokinet, i2p or etc. This modem would be capable of creating an off the grid internet with multiple options to switch between working like a regular internet & cutting off the clear internet completely leaving only access to what is connected in local range or through a protocol which allows each modem/router to communicate with eachother bouncing these off the grid sites to each other & from each other.
Okay I am seeing people put pictures in their username. How do I do that? I seen one dude using a custom looked like emojiicons to spell his name in orange in a grafitti type font. Another person who had the debian logo, matrix logo & some other logo. Also japanese usernames with outerglows how do ya do it?
