I agree I say lots of things that easily offend the fickle because they lack a open mind & try to find an association of prejudice terms to form my whole life based on one sentence. Circumstancial opinion. It may also show you we're ignoring someone who was conversing with you or present an insinuation that could create confrontation. I think acknowledgement is the best strategy in majority of circumstances then to be silent. That's just my opinion on it.
