Are they never selling?

What’s the purpose of the teams? Why aren’t we all on one team?

Private story.

2017. I had just taken control of my own keys. Couldn’t deploy large capital into Bitcoin yet but it was my starting point.

Didnt fully understand what i was holding back then.

Was the first&last time I ignored bitcoin.

But Fiatland gave me access to cheap money.

Only if I used it for real estate though.

So I bought a 550m² plot near Munich for €0.5M in 2018.

Had a building permit for a duplex(2 units).

The plan:

- Land: €0.5M

-Construction: €600k for duplex

- Total investment: €1.1M

- Expected return: €2M

- Timeline: 12 months

- Take 900k profit to buy bitcoin

Deal included:

- €100k own money

- €1M mortgage @ 0.8% interest

The rest would follow after construction.

But then…

Lawyers. Neighbors. Bureaucracy.

A mistake by a notary years earlier meant I had no right to connect to the private water canal.

Suddenly my building permit was worthless.

And I needed permission from the neighbors to continue.

They said no. Of course.

I tried to return the property, it was in the contract: If I can’t build, I can give it back.

Didn’t work. Lawyers again. I lost.

Since then?

No house

No construction

No return

Just a field

Paying €1,500/month mortgage

€100k stuck in a field

No corn from this deal.

Property taxes every year.

7 years later, still fighting to maybe build one house.

That’s it.

This is how I got rug pulled by one of my own real estate “investments“ to preserve my time&energy.

That’s just a real world example to show you why I say…

Real estate to preserve your wealth is a shitcoin.

Energy trap.

Bureaucracy trap.

Fiat trap.

Bitcoin doesn’t ask your neighbors for permission.

Bitcoin doesn’t need a notary.

Bitcoin doesn’t care about lawyer games.

Real estate is not freedom.

Bitcoin is.

I fucked around to find out.

Timestamp of freedom 903,653

Dafuq is wrong with the neighbors? Why wouldn’t the grant you the water pipe?

1 million at 0.8% is crazy though

But you’d pay allot more vs. buying in euro. It’s not as adapted such that you can go and get a coffee, buy groceries etc.

Thanks for sharing your learnings from Bitcoin nostr:nprofile1qqsxu35yyt0mwjjh8pcz4zprhxegz69t4wr9t74vk6zne58wzh0waycprfmhxue69uhhq7tjv9kkjepwve5kzar2v9nzucm0d5hszxrhwden5te0wfjkccte9ejx2un8d9nkjtnrdakj7q02h6a

Keet uses the Holepunch stack—not WebRTC—for its real-time voice calls. In a one-to-one call the connection likewise falls into three logical stages:

1 · Peer-discovery exchange

Each endpoint relies on HyperDHT ( Distributed Hash Table) to locate the other party:

The caller joins the network with the callee’s 32-byte Ed25519 public key.

Nearby DHT nodes return the latest announce record published by that key—essentially “I’m online at 203.0.113.7:54567”.

A short-lived, signed invitation token proves the request really comes from the owner of the calling key, preventing spam.

No central signaling server is involved; the DHT itself is the rendez-vous layer.

2 · Distributed hole-punch — DHP → direct connection

The two devices attempt to break through their NATs with DHP (Distributed Hole Punching) and then talk over UDX (Ultra-Datagram eXchange):

Each side enlists several random DHT peers as hole-punch helpers—they play the same role that STUN servers do in WebRTC but are fully decentralized.

Both endpoints fire simultaneous UDX probes at every candidate (IP:port) they learn.

As soon as one path succeeds, a one-round-trip Noise_XX handshake derives a session key, and encrypted audio frames start flowing directly between devices.

In residential or mobile networks this succeeds ~70 %–80 % of the time, giving a pure P2P (peer-to-peer) path with minimal latency—no relay, no bandwidth fees.

3 · Volunteer relay fallback

If symmetric NAT (Network Address Translation), CGNAT (Carrier-Grade NAT), or a strict firewall blocks every hole-punch attempt:

Keet asks nearby peers whether any is willing to act as a relay for this call.

If at least one agrees, the audio stream is tunneled through that peer—still encrypted end-to-end by Noise—so neither relay nor network can eavesdrop.

When no volunteer relay is available, the call fails; Keet has no equivalent to TURN (Traversal Using Relays around NAT) hosted in a central data-center.

I don’t get it yet on technical level, but if it is P2P and encrypted That’s sounds amazing! Thanks for sharing

Wow how fast two hours can pass :D interesting to hear how nostr:npub1gdu7w6l6w65qhrdeaf6eyywepwe7v7ezqtugsrxy7hl7ypjsvxksd76nak got into Bitcoin and how his perspective and position towards it changed.

I would not go in line with everyone being stupid not understanding things right away, it’s what people grew up with and were told. But overall definitely time well spend! Could even shared with friends and family to help them grasp the benefits that come with hard money

Definitely think you two should keep meeting regularly — that episode was super insightful. I really enjoyed the exchange, even if I’m still a bit skeptical about vibe-coding.

It’s a great way to try out ideas, get fresh input, and lower the barrier to entry. But looking ahead, if you want to scale things seriously, it’ll probably take more than just vibe-coding.

Still, I’m staying open and curious to see where your next session takes you and what unfolds in the vibe-coding universe until then.

Thanks man! Nimona looks really cool! Added it and season 1 of squid game (:

Spiderverse you mean all the Spider-Man movies? The old ones with Toney Maguire or the newer ones with tom holland?

Just finished setting up my #ArrStack and I’m finally ready to catch up on years of missed #movies and #series. I’ve been out of the loop without Netflix, Hulu, HBO, Disney+, Apple TV+, Paramount+, and the rest of the streaming jungle.

So I need your help hence #asknostr

What are the BEST movies or series you’ve watched in the past 5 years?

Stuff that hit hard, kept you bingeing, made you think, or just pure fun.

Any genre, any language. Let me rebuild my watchlist with the real gems.

Hi #Nostr ! I'm currently trying to somehow sort/categorize my feed. For that I thought to somehow tag accounts and then create a feed with e.g. #Notedeck or ideally on an iOS client.

I didn’t see a direct option in any of the clients I’m using (mainly on iPhone) #Damus #Primal #Nostur

So I was wondering if anyone also has a need for this, or how you master your feed? #asknostr

I also did some research with #ChatGPT about it and it confirmed that it not built-in support for that, but as workarounds it mentioned

1. Using Custom Lists (kind: 30000)

2. Tagging via kind

3. Using clients like #coracle or #iris

4. Relay-based solutions

The above mentioned workarounds (besides 3) seem very technical and like I have to dig deeper on how to integrate such lists or “kind”s. Option 3 are only desktop clients, while I’m mostly on mobile and would LOVE to choose depending on my mood if I want to get some funny memes, news from around the world or some good old Bitcoin content :)

Hey #asknostr how comes I do not see the replies on this post? Is it because I don’t have a common relay they are posted too?
