Running Kali via VM more than my regular OS for long enough I’m thinking of swapping over to Linux as my daily driver. Kali is way too bulky and unnecessary for daily needs tho.
What distros do y’all prefer for daily use? I’d love to check out some I’ve never used before.
Pls don’t respond Arch to be a badass, tho you very well may be one.
Spent 3hrs yesterday in a pcap rabbit hole that went exactly nowhere. It was awesome.
I may be twice the age of your average picoCTF player but I still yell “gotcha bitch” when I find a flag.
Only difference is they probably know why they found it.
Learning a ton through CTF’s lately so I built a page to hold notes from different machines available (overthewire, pico, hackthebox, etc…you’re usual beginner stuff).
Would love to connect with some others that are security focused and learning (or learned and open to talking/troubleshooting) about tools, study methods, etc…

I first started learning Linux due to Bitcoin (node setup and maintenance and simple stuff of course), and the rabbit hole just keeps getting deeper.
On the plus side I can now say “Hot Products” in 4 languages.
