Can't you just put fake info and a burner email? If people put their real info it's kinda natural selection. The relays all have your ip address too you know. I don't see anyone clamoring for some type of onion routing.

Well, I don't know exactly how to do this. I've been trying legacy, wrepped segwit and native segwit; and, after them, all the "useful derivation paths in exporting to external wallets", listed on docs.samourai.io/wallet/restore-recovery

Even in Electrum I can't access my funds. When I search for existing accounts, it returns me "No existing accounts found". And, if I ignore this and press "finish", I gain access to a wallet, but not to my funds.

Trying another method, to export by plaintext, Sparrow finds my wallet, but any funds on it either. In "settings", restoring by this method, I can at least read my seed! If I didn't use my private key, using only plaintext, and Sparrow shows the 12 words, it might means I have access to the wallet, right?

I did it too, and got nothing :(

Funds do not show.

When I created my wallet in Samourai, a long time ago, and sent some sats to it, they didn't show either. Then I contacted support, and showed them my logs. The answer was: "it seems your wallet may not be properly synced to our nodes". And thenz they fixed.

Can this be the case in other apps? Some bug, I don't. :(

Have you successfully used that wallet again since? Are your SATs shown in Samourai currently?

When I first recovered mine it took maybe 10 min for the wallet to scan blockchain and find transactions. I also had to add whirlpool accounts. I haven't tried moving them yet as I'm trying to decide what to do with them.

Funds not showing after backup in Sparrow

Ok, so we've got this problem with Samourai Wallet. Then, I did my backup into Sparrow. My seeds and my passphrase are right, for sure, because I still have access to Samourai Wallet app, and I can verify them. But my funds don't show up in Sparrow! Could anyone help this poor normie?

Try the restore from backup txt file method. Don't forget to add whirlpool accounts if you had them.

Not long ago it was the Tornado Cash case but that was on Ethereum and largely brushed off by many Bitcoiners. Then it was the Bitcoin Fog case but that was custodial and again largely brushed off by many Bitcoiners.

To some, the trajectory has been clear for several years. Often times those warning of real and present dangers are met with skepticism and dismissed as FUDsters.

Yesterday it was Samourai Wallet, a non-custodial Bitcoin wallet with the ability to coordinate CoinJoins. If you brushed off Tornado Cash & Bitcoin Fog, don't make the same mistake this time.

The language used by the FBI is so broad and generalized in their PSA and their recent actions have been so over-reaching that it should now be crystal clear to any Bitcoiner that any Bitcoin wallet project not implementing KYC measures runs the risk of having the developers arrested for operating an unlicensed Money Services Business. Node projects and miners are not far behind.

The entire pretext to this narrative is false because Bitcoin is software, software is code, code is speech, and freedom of speech is a God-given right. Ask yourself, where do you draw the line? What rights are you willing to defend? And if push came to shove, how far are you willing to go to defend those rights?

"Give me liberty or give me death" are not hollow words because a life without liberty is not a life worth living. Many have already made the ultimate sacrifices and many more will follow in their foot steps. Every dialogue consists of a call and a response and right now the FBI is having a one-sided conversation. Make a stand and respond loudly and clearly that the erosion ends now.
