Fire post! ⚡️⚡️
Yo @w_s_bitcoin thanks for everything that you do for Bitcoin. Love reading and watching your content.
Also, would love to be able to reply to you on Twitter 🙏🏼
What setup do you recommend? I currently own a Coldcard and a Jade
Oh I love the idea of a tapsigner with nunchuck for traveling and a Coldcard cold safe somewhere.
Thanks for the advice.
I also have a Jade btw, would love to bring that into the mix.
What about a Jade connected via Bluetooth with green wallet for travel? And a cold Coldcard safe somewhere?
Also what do you mean produce it?
So is it better to have a hot wallet for the travels?
Coldcard (savings account)
Hot wallet (checking account/debt card)
Great! Will do it like that then.
Thanks for this amazing product. Feels fast, secure, robust, well done overall.
Will be purchasing more Coldcards as my setup evolves and diversifies.
Btw, what are your thoughts on traveling with a Coldcard? I travel a lot and I think I need to have it handy for transactions. I can always leave the seed in safe place back home. Curious to know if it’s ok to travel with it and your personal opinion as someone that also travels a lot from what I’ve seen.
You’re an inspiration dude!
Lead by example 🫡
Congrats Odell!
Happy for you ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Jameson, what’s your advice in terms of using a passphrase with a Coldcard?
I got mine in the mail today, already setup a wallet but wondering if I should use a BIP-39 passphrase or not.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Boss, should I use my new Coldcard with a passphrase?
I voluntarily chose 24 words to create BIP-85 wallets for the fam later on.
But wondering about the need for a passphrase. What are you thoughts?
Boss, should I use my new Coldcard with a passphrase or not?
Been studying about privacy a lot lately and I think it’s important to spread the word.
Many don’t care about privacy, but I want to contribute to spreading the use of privacy focused apps, and it all starts with me.
Here’s some changes I’ve made in the last 2 years.
- Switched my browser to Brave (Hardened)
- NordVPN always on on both laptop and mobile.
- Ublock Origin Extension
- Switched from Google Authenticator to Tofu (FOSS)
- Deleted my Binance account (Coinbase coming soon)
- Started using Nostr more and now run my own relay.
- Started more actively using Signal. (Still have WhatsApp, but I intentionally take more time to reply there with the classic “sorry, I don’t check WhatsApp often. I reply faster on Signal”.
Upcoming:
- Degoogling myself. Deleting all goggle apps from my phone. It’s a process, but I’ll start with moving from Gmail to Skiff. After that is Maps and then, the most difficult ones, Google Drive and YouTube.
- Anonymous SIM and possibly virtual phone numbers. Not sure yet.
- Deleting Facebook
