I have a close friend who gets, on average, 60k likes on every post they do on TikTok, daily.
Sadly, creators today don't make a living from likes, comments, or shares. Those are just vanity metrics, like the # of followers is. It's not bad, vanity metrics are useful for brand deals and sponsorships. But, not all creators want to chase vitality, advertise brands or promote products they don't like. Most of them just want to do their thing, their art, their music, and make a living from the value the create.
Nostr is a paradigm shift like nothing else before it. Instead of likes, creators can get real value from sharing real value. Zaps > Likes, you can actually pay your rent with zaps.
If those 60k people sent 42 sats ($0.01) instead of a like, my friend would make ~$600 per day and avoid brand deals entirely if she wanted to. Working with brands then becomes optional, you get to be picky, and choose the brands that align with your values.
Nostr changes the creator economy. It's changes every industry.
It changes the world 🧡

Ok. This says something as this is my third attempt to post what I want and I am here, attempting it again. Because you nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m put fire under my ass when I saw you in a video from BTC Atlantis say we need to USE the things we want. And I do want purple ostriches bad. And then nostr:npub1spdnfacgsd7lk0nlqkq443tkq4jx9z6c6ksvaquuewmw7d3qltpslcq6j7 got me up and running again on Primal when things were not working so I can do some zapping. And he had me pause and close my eyes while he zapped me. So I could feel it. Really feel it. And honestly, zapping is orgasmic. I am really into zapping. But I don’t think I need AA for ZAP addicts for this. Some things are just good for you. They give you energy. They are encouraging and fun and clean. Never too much of that for me. So zap me baby.
