Dammit I was too late! 🀣

Sunday done. Damn, Monday comes back round so quickly!

Another gadget that I like the look of is the #foundation #passport key signing device. They look sick.

I love gadgets, and a #bitcoin #node is a premium gadget.

I'm currently running mine on a rpi4, and it's reasonably stable, but as soon as I get a chance I'll be spinning up a node on a proper, if still small, computer.

Cool things you can do if you run your own #bitcoin #node:

1) don't trust, verify! Be 100% sure that bitcoin sent to you is real and in your wallet

2) send transactions privately: your node should be run on tor for privacy, so when you broadcast your tx it can't be linked to your physical address via your IP (you should probably be running a vpn anyway....)

3) check the blockchain privately: with your own instance of mempool.space you can check your transactions or the state of the mempool without your search history being stored by another entity, another way of stripping you of your pseudonymity on the blockchain

4) run your own client of whirlpool meaning you can get 24/7 free remixes providing you with forward looking privacy in your spending

I was just permanently muted in the #Bitcoin Telegram group (https://t.me/bitcoin), for recommending Swan, Strike, RoboSats, and Azteco to a new bitcoiner who asked for some good places to buy bitcoin. Meanwhile, the admins are allowing spam comments on all of their posts. And now theyr're removing my reactions from the group posts, and I have absolutely no recourse.

Just another reason why I hate Telegram with a fiery passion.

You should add peach bitcoin to your kyc free/getting banned on telegram recommendation list!

Whirlpool instead of wasabi, as whirlpool doesn't engage with chain analysis firms and transaction censorship, and yes, this fee environment is fine as users get free remixes when others decide that the fees are acceptable for the service they require. Its not really that expensive anyway.

I was talking about things you can do on your own node, can you run your own client on those other implementations?

Just had the neighbours teenage kids knock on our door as their parents are away on holiday and their toilet was blocked and they were panicking πŸ˜
