“Power projection game” makes me think of Peterson’s lobsters. Any living thing will naturally size itself up against any other living thing it comes across if there are any threats or opportunities involved.
But is the existence of a power hierarchy an impediment to freedom of those not at the top?
Nostriches are fucking psychopaths, I tell you. Speaking openly about whatever they want… The nerve.
So those that develop technology and acquire power in doing so are likely always going to be tempted to subjugate other less-powerful free people?
Is this an unfortunate reality in general when it comes to freedom, or are there forces at play in the modern world suppressing it?

I read a book a long while ago called “Bad Pharma” by Ben Goldacre which has permanently put me off medicine.
There is seemingly complete capture of the industry by Big Pharma.
My experience is that doctors are trained to push medications instead of treat ailments.
Stamets is like the Hal Finney of mycology. Impossibly lovable and influential character 🧡🍄
