Update on Nostr.Band relay.

Since NIP-45 COUNT is getting some use recently, I've finally got my hands on optimizing the performance of it. Before that our relay used to just scan the matching records and count them instead of returning to the client - which is slow for big sets (like jack's follower list of >100k pubkeys). Now most counters are pre-calculated in the background and thus COUNT is instantaneous.

The counters are probabilistic, for small sets the value is exact, for big ones the expected error rate is up to 2%.

So now any client can show the number of jack's followers without downloading 1 Gb of events, or waiting for ages while they're counted :)

I think it should be done if technically feasible

To put this in perspective, my Jade is mining at around 81K hashes per second.

A single S19 #Bitcoin miner mines at around 110 TRILLION hashes per second.

So, yes, the odds are long. Still better than playing the lottery, because you get a chance every 10 minutes, and because even if you never get a block reward, you are helping the network
