all good! love to see your enthusiasm through fresh eyes on the service
1) zaps are a big diff
2) lack of algorithms is another (more peaceful/friendly space)
3) open source development/contribution of infinite ideas is the future i believe in and the main reason iโm excited
welcome, #[1]โ! ๐ค
do you generally suspect the builder of such a thing might be able to capture some value long term despite it being open source/data?
e.g. open source/data paired with an enterprise commercial service?
donโt get #[7]โ started with that button ๐ค
โIs Nostr a Blockchain without a Token?โ
Iโve heard several technically inclined people who have not studied Nostr carefully make the claim that Nostr is somehow a blockchain technology so I made a video to provide some clarity on this topic.
I wonder if it would help new users if there were a somewhat predictable โCreateโ button on websites like habla.news or highlighter.com which could help people understand how to begin participating/create with the system.
I think we all assume people know about Alby/nos2x or understand there is no account for the website, but it can be disorienting for people just learning about this new Nostr approach to building/using the web.
Iโm guessing #[0]โ or others may have a view on this kind of thing?
YES! we should do a video explaining the highlighter stuff, specially since nostr:npub1kuy0wwf0tzzqvgfv8zpw0vaupkds3430jhapwrgfjyn7ecnhpe0qj9kdj8 understands this problem very well!

oh yeah, i know about Lightspark, too! good project, good team, team bitcoin
As many of you know, I've been at Swan Bitcoin for the past 2.5 years.
As Head of R&D, my job has been to basically play with bitcoin stuff: Miniscript, BDK, making Coldcard do cool shit (like hook it up to a CLN and use it as a lightning signer), write Swan's LN backend, t-of-n ECDSA signing, and a bunch of other cool stuff.
If it hasn't been super obvious thus far, Nostr has absolutely captured my imagination and inspiration.
Now it's the time to take a step back, and transition to working on nostr full-time. What am I going to be doing? I'm not sure yet, I have an abundance of ideas that I will be/already am exploring, but now it's the time to double-down and seriously pursue things.
There's a WHOLE lot more to come.
I can't thank @Cory, nostr:npub1fqn4fgzkk8nm2x3wd600n935c9tc7xgg9jhk5dfa0kuvrgvsyv7sgu536l, and the whole Swan crew; it's been an absolute pleasure to work along people who share such a distinctively clear mission of doing what's best for bitcoin and bitcoiners.
LFG, team #bitcoin! ๐งก

Has anyone built a dashboard that shows which clients/relays support which NIPs?
cc #[0]โ in case it hasnโt been built yet and makes sense for nostr.band
credit to #[1] for suggesting the idea on our call just now
iโd love to learn more. have you written about it or is there a github?
๐ thanks for the feedback! weโll get better at remote in the future
love where this can go! thanks for building it #[1]
Hey #[0]โ & #[1]โ you guys forgot to share the screen with the viewers as youโre talking about pages and apps. It makes it harder to follow along. https://youtu.be/l75eglJWKyA
thanks for letting us know, Rabble! we did have some technical challenges with the remote recording software, but i think we recovered some of the screenshare. did you see some of it. but not all?
good news is weโre back in sf together this week so hopefully no snafus!
