**NostrPlebs.com Supports Nostr Development**

Building a decentralized communication protocol has a cost, there's not only an incredible amount of development time, but a rising infrastructure cost too. We must support this community that we're so excited to participate in and that has been so supportive of our efforts over the last few weeks.

Starting today, January 6, 2023 at 7:00PM UTC and ending on January 7, 2023 at 7:00PM UTC, 50% of all NIP-05 registration fees collected during this 24 hour period will go towards the greater Nostr development community.

Tomorrow after this period ends, we will tally all of the sats that have been collected via registration fees, make the announcement here, and send them on their way.

Additionally, Nostr Plebs is also announcing the addition of two new domain names to our NIP-05 ID and services offerings. This brings our total domain offerings to five, giving our users a variety of choices when deciding upon their nostr identity.

What do I put in for a lightning address so it doesn't use the same one every time?

I knew 100% you were using Muun! Lightning invoices are different from LNURLs, and Muun doesn’t support them.

Try Wallet of Satoshi. Go to Receive > Lightning Address and grab the LNURL under the QR code or the Lightning Address that looks like a funny email.

Any issues with using imgur to host my profile pic?

Hey NostrPlebs.com users. Your NIP-05 ID isn't an email address *yet*. I know that it looks like one because of the @ symbol, but it's not an email address. We will add this functionality at some point in the near future and you'll be able to get email directly to your nostr DMs. Until we announce this feature, please stop giving out your NIP-05 ID to people as as an email address.

I've gotten about 5 emails today. I will be contacting each person and copying and pasting the email into their DM and then deleting the original email. I'm sorry if you were confused. 🤝

he would need to sign into nostrplebs.com/manage and add an existing Lightning address (from Alby, Stacker.news, Foundtain.fm, WalletOfSatoshi, etc.) that he has and then qw@nostrplebs.com would work.
