Yeah. I don’t like the 0-fee mining of super-heavy inscriptions part, as I feel that fucks with the fee market, but that’s not super widespread (yet). Overall, I think it’s a shiny object that will flash, and then subside to something that ends up being used only when economically relevant.
My point for doing these updates is I also feel that people arguing (either pro or con) without data are just shouting in the wind.
Derp. Nevermind, just realized that snort.social can do it.
Inscriptions Update:
123568 (as of block 776,880):
Paid 40.87₿ in fees
Used ~2.0GB
In 2290 blocks (~929.8kB/block)
With an average fee of 33,077丰
(12.2丰/vB & 75% < 16.0丰/vB)
The average size was 17.2kB, (75% < 14.0kB)
The speed these are being added is continuing to increase.
Is there a service like Nitter for Nostr yet, where you can generate a direct (and non-logged in) web-link to a Nostr note?
You can set up your own private/personal Nostr relay on it, though it only works with clients that connect over TOR.
Wyoming is the place to be! DM me if you want to be added to the Wyoming Bitcoiners chat. We just met up in Thermopolis, and are planning another statewide meetup for May.
O for a voice like thunder, and a tongue to drown the throat of war!
Nostr is definitely much cleaner & higher signal right now…
