Indie Game Dev!

This is a test note, please ignore.

I wasn’t thinking of Nostr functionality, but that’d be neat.

I also think Nostr is highly under utilized as a global, decentralized commenting platform for any URL.

Not exactly what I was envisioning 😅

Although I don't think I'll be getting one, I am very excited for the new Framework 16. So many expansion options including GPU. Very cool.

A news website idea: pay to read article with Sats. Unlocked immediately with lightning and you could use your receipt/pubkey in future to keep it unlocked. Perhaps additionally have a copy of the article sent to your email.

New Blog Post!

When the world zigs you zag.

If there are any other fellow human game devs out there on Nostr please reply to this note or reply to this note with a mention of them.

Need to get some different conversations going on in my feed.

Yea my thought is that it’s only necessary if you need to inform your user if they have a chance of killing them. But you can use other signifiers for this like damage counters.

Anyone have a good reasons why boss' have health bars in games? Contemplating adding it to mine.

Currently writing a multiplayer game in Go with Ebiten engine. It's been fun to use an engine that is bare bones and doesn't provide the same frameworks as all the other engines.

Additionally using Go as a game language has been great so far, but waiting to run into hiccups (GC, etc.).

As an experiment I disabled the search functionality on my browser to prevent myself from mindlessly searching for the website and promote a mindset of direct site access for what I really need.

This also promotes acknowledgement of using a search engine and also provoking thought of which site do I really want to use (wikipedia, ddg, amazon, godocs, etc.) to find something.

I'll see how it goes.

I have this feeling that there are very few reasons to force/auto update software. A) Security B) Protocol Changes.

Otherwise if it's working for the user let them continue using it and update at their own discretion.

Even with those reasons, inform rather than force.

Capi Capi 🤙

This was a triumph.

I'm making a note here:

HUGE SUCCESS.

New Framework modules are awesome! New mainboards (AMD, Intel), new matte display, and more! Plus the new 16 model! So sick!
