Cats fighting are noisy, viscous, bastards whom have added to an already fractured night's sleep. Psychoacoustics dictate we hear loudest around 300Hz through to about 600Hz which why a baby crying is difficult to ignore or an annoying YouTube advert's sound mixing choices - same volume but perceived as much louder. It's my contention that cat fights slap bang in that sweet spot , or at least the bits we can hear - they're are no doubt harmonics above the average human hearing thresholds.
Distracted by a 4 year old edition.

Entirely screwed up Wordall because I kept distracting myself. I may post the 10+ minute score later but I haven't finished it so, given today is busy for me, consider it a fail.

Also a bit less 'crypto'. That's not a judgement as to the rights or wrongs of the currency elements, just that it is impenetrable to outsiders and most people just want to chat and share. I think that's at the core for most folk in all other rival services (Pic: future Butters from South park selling NFTs).

I think people are but it needs a mainstream celebrity or other mainstream public figure to endorse it. One of Twitter's old strengths. Storing nsec are going to be an impedance for some so it may even need a Twitter like front-end that entirely hides the underlying infrastructure. But, basically, private key management is going to put some off (erroneously IMHO). But needs celeb/public figure endorsement.
Whichever non controversial public figure is on here first gets close to 100% follows.
I like 'From' but the idea of anyone been romotely sceptical about anything anyone else has seen, given they're in a strange continuum with monsters, is like people objecting to new trains in Thomas and Friends: it's an island with talking trains.
Obviously From isn't about talking trains but if you were within the From universe and said "yeah, I saw this ginger elf" my immediate reaction wouldn't be "pics or it didn't happen". It'd be "where did you see it, down by the magic tree?". If anything maintaining any sort of scepticism under those circumstances would be the real battle.
Had Percy stayed sceptical in "Day of The Diesels" it would have been "Five Minutes of The Diesels".
A younger relative is quite keen on Thomas.

A rather hastily typed blog post about sticks and Linux, a 1990s light industrial unit in Croydon (UK) and my new laptop. It may or may not be corrected grammar-wise. I want to watch TV and drink tea.

The ancient graffiti caves on the silk road:
Copying over all my stuff and first task is cleaning up .vimrc and .vim; text files containing all the plugins and modifications I use for Vim (a text editor - like Notepad, although Notepad is to Vim as Kid Rock is to "Selling England by the Pound" era Genesis). Plus other odds and ends. Because like 1973 Genesis my .vimrc will segue to late 1970s Gary Numan. All metaphors break down under varying degrees of magnification.

The more tired the more likely to make mistakes the longer it takes more tired. Among other things - no sound. I spent ages reading up on the why and how. It was just that I hadn't installed something I assumed was there and therefore hadn't checked. Plus variations on that theme. They were solved. I have to be up in 4 hours. If someone rewrote The Pilgrim's Progress except instead of a book Christian had a laptop, The Pilgrim's Progress would become a dark satire of social media and man's relationship with technology. It will be much quicker when I re-install tomorrow night.
