Maybe Marty should be declaring dumps more often.

I would be curious if it's his default state or just the state before the election. Apparently his seat is up for the reelection.

Ultimately, I'm skeptical about anyone willingly associating with either of the two parties. High burden of proof for such people.

Seeing all problems (real and perceived) in the world primarily as a result of social injustice.

It's an improvement of the custodial lightning.

- trust is distributed across multiple agents inside the community (multisig style)

- it's cheaper & more anonymous to use (because it's ecash)

Makes sense to me for circular economies with small amounts.

You can argue that self-custodial lightning is better, but it requires a lot of skills from the users, and is somewhat expensive.

They serve a real utility. Imagine the internet without any search engines... That's pretty much nostr now.

Algo monopolies are bad. We need free market of independent plug-and-play algos on every platform and protocol.

I don't think she would get much of the immigrant vote with this messaging. Not even the illegal ones.

Interesting stat would also be - how many people are fleeing from the states with the equity policies vs from the states with capitalist policies.

The volatility will get lower relative to other assets and real utility. Not when denominated in fiat.

Jmp chat sounds convenient. Thanks for sharing.

Oh, I rather define it as a worldview where individuals are sorted into classes defined by their sexual and racial (and other, including socioeconomic) characteristics. And thinking that these groupings almost perfectly define every single persons actions and destiny.

It''s connected with the idea that anyone's success is not due to their hard work, parents, education, luck, ... but rather simply due to their belonging itself to at least some of the "privileged" subgroups, and the systemic exploitation of the unprivileged subgroups.

Really, it's just a zero sum class warfare with differently defined classes.

Of course, the exploitation is unjust, so we need some smart emphatic state rules to fix it. And thankfully, we have the social justice warriors to unconditionally serve this goal.

Btw, RFK totally wasted the opportunity to proclaim "Ich bin ein Bitcoiner" to the crowds in Nashville. Would be epic.

People use Biden's announcement as an example here, but can any tech convince us that it was indeed himself signing the message with his own keys?

Single point of verification is a single point of failure. Multiple independent points of verification are needed, IMO. And that's why the sole Twitter announcement triggered the doubt's.

Imagine you're an Indian immigrant. Whichever generation.

You're raised in the environment of demanding excellence, shutting down any excuses, in spite of the actual harsh systemic regulatory barriers (the broken immigration system)

And then some dumb politician comes pitching you "being like you" and DEI. And that it worked out great for her...
