The US designed most Latin American constitutions with the objective of installing puppet dictators in the guise of democracy. In El Salvador these were picked from the Military School graduating classes and the land owning oligarchy with close economic ties to the US and coffee production.

Makes sense, I get the feeling Nayib falls outside of the “puppet” category. That being said, I’m sure the US, IMF, CB’s, and other world organizations love him lol.

It’s Interesting that the topic of presidents running a second term hasn’t come up until now, despite them interpreting it may be only 1 term.
