These look to include a metal sleeve that surrounds the valve stem. Maybe you could combine this with an anti-theft cap (so that it can't be easily removed)?

(You can think of the "filesystem" as extra metadata that the computer writes to the disk to represent the file/folder structure and other bits of information about the files)

It sounds to me that you may have had some filesystem corruption. Usually that's repairable.

Just ordered a set of T-1000E trackers that I'll be putting in the dogs' harnesses.

Had been using LILYGO T-echos, but as long as these have adequate reception, these'll be nicer because they're sealed units and much slimmer, so I won't be as worried about them getting caught up on brush and being pulled off as I am with the T-echos.

Will report back once I have them in hand and have done some testing.
