2025 will be the year I dedicate to Nostr and related platforms like nostr:npub1yfg0d955c2jrj2080ew7pa4xrtj7x7s7umt28wh0zurwmxgpyj9shwv6vg, nostr:npub1eaz6dwsnvwkha5sn5puwwyxjgy26uusundrm684lg3vw4ma5c2jsqarcgz, etc.

For several reasons:

1) As much as X has pushed free speech, and to be fair it’s done a much better job than most other platforms, I still see too many creators get demonetized or accounts taken down. Current social media platforms are going to be a thing of the past, so it’s like using the best dial-up service when broadband is already out there.

2) I’ve been a Bitcoiner for years now but seeing the world built around it - and not just money but other values such as decentralization and censorship resistance infiltrate other areas such as social media, content creation, and streaming is awesome. I want to live in that world and be a part of building it. It’s the future and one that I’m genuinely excited and optimistic about.

Seeing other respected names really go all in on #nostr is inspiring and while I’m not gonna deactivate my other accounts, time and attention is a zero sum game so I plan to prioritize the new world vs the old.
