It's not a side issue if it's:

1) Expensive

2) Ineffective

The US has donated more to the cause than both Ukraine and Russia's entire military budgets COMBINED. For what? This isn't over.

The US is already showing weakness through it's current level of involvement. It's shown weakness before Russia even invaded with how it handled pulling out of Afghanistan.

If the US was in a position of projecting actual strength via action, Russia would have never invaded. They knew this pussy foot response would be what the US does. It was telegraphed.

Why not:

- Get paid in fiat from the company

- Split direct deposit into 1 checking account for known fix, fiat expenses (rent/mortgage, etc) & use Strike to convert what's left into Bitcoin?

Then at least your biggest, fixed expenses aren't prone to volatility.

Also, if you're in the US and care about taxes, it'll be a little less burdensome on your largest fiat bills by not having to sell BTC to pay them.

If you think we shouldn't be supporting Ukraine, you haven't paid enough attention.

They need our help. They should have it. And if you want to be self interested, a win for Russia opens the door to China and Taiwan and then the US ends up having to draw lines in the waters of the Pacific. If you think stopping Russia at Ukraine is expensive, wait until you get into that pissing match with China. Or have Chinese fleets tooling just off Cali.

The US shouldn't be the 3rd biggest player in this war. There's plenty of European military powers that should be taking responsibility if they don't want what's happening in their back yard to happen.

But because they know the US will immediately step into the role of "world police" and take the lead, they let that happen.

The US then foots most of the bill, paying for corruption, deception, and maybe what's left trickles into the war itself.

It's all a joke.

Now that I receive salary in bitcoin, how to navigate short term votality, when need to purchase essential goods that are quasi pegged to local fiat.

I’m running a small experiment.

Step 1: set a bottom and top line for Btc/usd, based on a variance rate from when received salary in btc. In between this range, use Bitcoin to pay for expenses.

Step 2: when below bottom line, use fiat credit card only. When above top line, use Bitcoin to pay off fiat card debt and continue to use Bitcoin as normal for expenses.

Step 3: automate so don’t have to think about it.

When you say you receive your salary in Bitcoin, do you mean:

1) Your salary is a fixed Bitcoin amount

Or

2) Your salary is still fiat but you convert the entire amount into Bitcoin
