Excellent! Great to see this.
I use nostr.band for search and it seems to be a lot better than any tool I found for the fediverse.
I use Runit with Devuan, too.
About a month ago, I switch to "Mostly Not Plants" and have seen many improvements (less fatigue, better sleep, more restful dreams, less anxiety).
I still do eat a small amount of berries and a few other plants here and there, but the vast majority of my food is now meat, eggs and dairy.
So much better and I have no temptation to go back to eating what I was before, which was very healthy compared to the Standard American Diet.
I installed Void Linux on a machine the other day. I like it, but don't use it enough (yet) to be proficient with it.
Very much like how minimal it is and how it took cues from NetBSD.
I am about half way through.
I'd like to see more information about that, too.
Seems unlikely, as communicating on the cellular network takes quite a bit of energy. So even if "off" is really "low power mode", I'd like to see some experiments that verify what's happening.
This is one of the reasons why the older phones or few available current models with removable batteries may be valuable.
I use a wifi hotspot instead of a phone. It is off most of the time. But, just like a phone, as soon as I turn it on my location is logged on the cellular network.
Most of the data that's been purchased by third parties and analyzed is gleaned from phone apps (Android or iOS), so if I am not using a mobile phone OS and use a Linux laptop instead with VOIP phone software, the data gathered on me is much less than if I used a regular Android phone.
True.
But if powered off, it will give limited info about location. But as soon as you turn it on and connect to the network again, your location will be logged.

There's pros and cons to both. Your natural self is a good way to build a network of known friends and easily share the good things in life.
There's good reasons to use an alias, too. Depending on where you are from and what kind of information you share.
The PDF guides for LibreOffice are excellent.

Use encryption
If your seed phrase is ever on screen, Microsoft could have access to a screenshot of it.

Even if they did teach those subjects, the instruction would be unlikely to be any good.
To really learn something, you have to be self-motivated. That can happen in a classroom, but it is not ideal.
If you are wanting new hardware and Linux, System76 is a good company to go with.
If you are okay with used hardware to get started with Linux, there's lots of options. A lot of refurbishing companies sell used computers with Linux pre-installed. A good number of them accept Bitcoin and Monero, too.
I have been selling refurbished computers with Linux on for about 15 years now.
Feel free to DM or reply if you have any questions about Linux and refurbished computers.

Yes. You can gain a surprising amount of freedom with little money if you act in a way that is consistent with freedom.
Money sure can help get you there faster, though.

Let us know if you have any questions about Linux. I'm sure there's quite a few people on nostr who can answer them.
I highly recommend Linux. I have been using it for nearly 20 years.
If you are concerned about privacy (which is a good idea if you are using crypto-currency), then something other than a Microsoft or Apple operating system is a step in the right direction.
This is a good suggestion.
This is so sad. Our youngest child was walking at 8 months. To claim that delaying that another 10 months is normal development is a sad commentary on our times.
