just your ordinary everyday animated skeleton posting notes and zapping sats πŸ’€β˜ οΈπŸ’€β˜ οΈπŸ’€

in order to be able to mine like that and find blocks, you would now need to be at a fairly significant scale. and if that was the case, your incentive would be to find and publish valid blocks so you can claim the block reward and fund your operations

it doesn't rely on people doing some 'right' or noble thing based on some principle of decentralisation. its business and profit motive. if you don't do it someone else will and you'll go out of business fucking around pretending to 'mine' on some tangent 'chain'

its world's biggest bounty if can be hacked

miners are competing. they can build on blocks they have mined but doesn't mean other miners will auto accept additional blocks. all blocks have to be valid and meet the consensus rules but longest/heaviest chain wins

oh sorry. its song by a Russian (?) dude that had lyrics 'translated' to be about bitcoin pumping. from 2017ish era I think.

will try searching again and share if find it

Im not on damus and I don't understand zapvertising. should I care?

sir this is all time favourite #bitcoin meme, do you know original source? I was trying to find it couple months ago

not knocking engineers but some of these clients, you can tell, have been designed by engineers

I have tried a few different clients now. Damus, Amethyst, Coracle, Iris. But satellite.earth still my favourite

they’ll just make double spent satoshis extra β€˜rare’

Not sure what client you are on too, but try some other clients. Primal.net you can explore top notes/accounts you may want to follow. And don’t have to talk only about bitcoin, talk and share whatever you want.

You can see posts of other things on #grownostr, and you can say hi to folks on #plebchain

All the best ✌️

my thought after a month of solid purple. no blue…

#nostr right now is like the emacs of social media. it’s like the ultimate social media toy for tinkerers

there’s always a new tweak to make the experience better and you have to experiment with it to get it to work how you want it:

different clients

different relays

follow everyone you see, or not

unfollow some people for the signal to noise ratio

follow them back because it’s a ghost town

likes, zaps, #onlyzaps yes or no

constant stream of updates… but not in all clients

without algorithms, or lists, the posts we see are just from who’s been online in the last 30 mins or so.

do you have any hacks to keep up with folks on other side of the globe or particular accounts you want to see?
