Yesterday, a video began circulating showing a nurse and a hospital employee in Australia, in which both confessed to killing Jewish patients at the hospital. In the video, they also stated that they would continue killing “in defense of Palestine.”
An investigation was launched, revealing the identities of those in the video. The man is Ahmad ‘Rashad’ Nadir, a refugee from Afghanistan, and the woman is Sarah Abu Lebdeh, whose nationality has not been disclosed. A legal process has been initiated to investigate the alleged murders, alongside a public campaign demanding their arrest and deportation.
In response, the nurse publicly stated today that “it was all just a joke.” 
According to Ukrainian Defence Minister Umerov, the Ukraine Defense Contact Group meets in Brussels today to strengthen Ukraine’s defense and coordinate allied support. The agenda includes stable and timely delivery of military aid in 2025, accelerating the supply of critically important weapons—air defense systems, aviation, and ammunition, and investments in Ukraine’s defense industry and joint projects with European partners. 
Zelensky proposes exchanging the Kursk region for occupied Ukrainian territories in negotiations with Putin.
This would involve Russian territories currently controlled by Ukraine. Zelensky has not yet determined which lands Ukraine will prioritize reclaiming but assured that “all territories are important, there is no priority here.”
The proposal could be possible if the U.S. forces Russia to agree to peace negotiations. Zelensky is ready for talks but insists that Ukraine must participate “from a position of strength.”

According to a statement from the U.S. Secret Service (USSS) spokesperson, the former acting Director of the USSS, Ronald Rowe, has announced that he plans to retire. Current director Sean Curran, who lead U.S. President Donald J. Trump’s detail prior to him being elected, made a statement as well last week to the agency thanking Rowe for his “exceptional leadership [by] stepping into the role of Acting Director during a pivotal time in our agency."

According to a press release from Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt intends to present to involved parties a “comprehensive vision for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip in a manner that ensures the Palestinian people remain in their homeland.” This statement compounds on past comments made by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi that clash with U.S. President Donald J. Trump’s current outlook for the Gaza Strip.

It’s important to note that since the Ukrainian combined arms incursion into Russia’s Kursk Oblast began, Russian decision-makers have chosen to double down on offensive efforts along the southern axis of advance. Additionally, Putin has repeatedly said that Ukraine’s operation in Kursk will not serve to bring Russia to the table and more importantly, will not be swapped for other Ukrainian territory under Russian control, including Crimea. It still remains to be seen what worth Putin will put on the Ukrainian held territory in Kursk Oblast.
The Inspector General for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Paul Martin was notified today by the Office of Presidential Personnel that he had been “terminated, effective immediately,” less than a day after his Office released a report expressing concern and criticizing recent changes made to USAID.
