Syrian military and security forces have resumed their counter-insurgence operation in and around the Latakia Governorate in the northwest of the country after a brief pause, as Pro-Assad militias supported by Hezbollah and other Iranian elements continue to launch ambushes on forces under the Syrian Transitional Government. Thousands of civilians have fled to Russia’s Khmeimim Air Base as they attempt to the get away from the fighting, specifically near the city of Jableh, where clashes have grown in intensity over the last 48 hours. Roughly 600 are reported to have been killed so far during clashes in the region, most being civilians.

As U.S. President Donald J. Trump’s Administration continues with its increasingly fiery rhetoric when it comes to Europe and Ukraine; according to the The Telegraph, the United States has notified allies in NATO that it does not plan to participate in any further military exercises in Europe, besides those that have already been scheduled in 2025.

This follows reports from yesterday, that President Trump was considering the withdrawal of 35,000 active-duty U.S. troops from Germany to Hungary, while stating that the United States may not come to the defense of NATO member nations who were not spending a certain percent of their GDP on defense, telling reporters, “If you don’t pay your bills, we’re not going to participate. We’re not going to protect you.”

“I’ve been watching Trump, and he’s doing great. It looks like he’s watching my show! He’s killing it. The blow he’s dealing to Western unity… I haven’t seen anything like it in a long time.”

Another night of heavy Russian airstrikes on Ukrainian cities, with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk reacting as follows:

“This is what happens when someone appeases barbarians. More bombs, more aggression, more victims. Another tragic night in Ukraine.”

With Trump blocking the delivery of military aid and intelligence data to Ukraine, Putin has gained much more freedom to target both civilian and military sites. When asked about the increase in Russian bombings on Ukraine following the aid and intelligence blockade, Trump stated that he did it because he is unsure whether Ukraine wants to negotiate. Regarding Putin, Trump said he trusts him and that, by bombing Ukraine, Putin is simply doing what “anyone would do” against a country without the resources to defend itself.

Note: The Polish PM announced yesterday his plan to increase Poland’s military force to half a million soldiers and to seek nuclear weapons.

Do you know what a double-tap attack is? It’s an attack, usually targeting a civilian area, followed by another strike 15 to 20 minutes later, aiming to hit firefighters and paramedics who arrive to assist the victims.

Russia is highly experienced in carrying out this type of attack against Ukraine, and in this video, we can see a double-tap attack that took place in a residential area of Dobropillia. As we can observe, ambulances and firefighters were at the scene rescuing civilians injured in a previous Russian strike when the area was hit again—this time with cluster munitions.

According to the latest count, 12 Ukrainian civilians were killed in this attack. https://video.nostr.build/7b4c9e4cbf5b7891e1b692114d3e93ff45f97ddd20688f36ade97ca911963be8.mp4

As the ongoing Trade War between Canada, China, Mexico and the United States continues to escalate, China tonight announced a major wave of retaliatory tariffs against Canadian agricultural products, including a 100% tariff on Canadian rapeseed oil, oil cakes and pea imports, and a 25% duty tax on Canadian aquatic products and pork; with these tariffs claimed to be in response to Canada’s 100% tariff on Chinese electric-vehicles and 25% levy on aluminum and steel products, announced last October.

One police officer was killed and another seriously injured after a 14-year old opened fire on them when they responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the city of Newark, New Jersey tonight. The 14-year old suspect was subsequently killed. Bystanders reportedly heard over 10 gunshots in the exchange. Both New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and the New Jersey Attorney General Matt Platkin have been made aware of the incident and have released statements on the slaying of the officer.

U.S. President Trump was asked by an NBC reporter earlier tonight in the Oval Office, about reports from the New York Times, NBC and several other media outlets about a verbal clash that occurred during yesterday’s meeting Presidential Cabinet Room, between Elon Musk, Marco Rubio and Sean Duffy.

To which Trump responded, “No clash. I was there. You're just a troublemaker.”

Today, Poland has announced two very ambitious military plans: expanding its army to 500,000 soldiers (the largest in Europe) and developing nuclear weapons. All of this with a single objective: to create a deterrent force strong enough to prevent any expansionist adventure by Putin in the future.

Maxar Technologies has now confirmed reporting from last night, that they have “temporarily suspended” Ukraine’s access to Satellite Imagery at the request of the U.S. Government.

The Ukrainian Air Force has released Photos showing French-provided Mirage 2000-5F Multirole Fighters being used to intercept Kh-101 Cruise Missiles, during this morning’s Large-Scale Russian Missile Attack against Ukraine.

The Telegraph reports that U.S. President Donald J. Trump is considering the redeployment of most if not all 35,000 active-duty U.S. troops currently stationed in Germany, to Hungary, whose Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is one of Trump’s closest-allies in Europe and has maintained a decent relationship with Russia despite the invasion of Ukraine. Germany houses one of the United States’ largest and most important overseas military installations, Ramstein Air Base, which acts as a logistics hub for U.S. Air Force flights across Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

Just like in the U.S. and several European countries, the "wave" of young people shifting to the right has now reached the UK.

"In the era of Donald Trump and Nigel Farage, young right-wing voters are becoming the new cool kids," describes the *Daily Telegraph*.

Will this movement last? I don’t know, but it certainly seems strong.

Journalist: "Putin is bombing Ukraine. Do you still believe he wants peace?"

Trump: "I believe him. We're doing very well with Russia. But right now, they're bombing Ukraine like crazy. And frankly, I'm finding it harder to deal with Ukraine. And they don't have the cards! They don't have the cards!"
