I’ve used this app for years and thought I should share it. If you are interested in the writings of various religions and would like to reference multiple holy writings of various faiths on a topic at once, Ocean is really amazing. There is a desktop version also if you want to keep things local.
I love #Linux and opensource and choose to use it whenever I can. But…it really irks me when the blind zealots just bash on Windows or MacOS. All three operating systems have their drawbacks at times and some more than others. But to constantly dump on them is annoying and makes one sound ignorant.
I’m thinking of buying the subscription to Newsblur for a year while I wait for Thunderbird to add accounts sync.

I feel my Apple watch was one of the poorest consumer choices I’ve ever made. It’s a $500 dollar device that can barely last a day and all I use it for is to check the time mainly. I used the health stuff originally with fervor, but that wore off quick.
I feel like their is a market for a bluetooth device for cars that only has a music player and maps. Preferably mp3 style for your own collection.

So, I emailed Cory Doctorow with a very unimportant question I was curious about from something a read about his workflow. I wasn’t expecting to get a reply anytime soon if at all. I figured I would get my answer in a future podcast or newsletter. To my surprise I got answer in an hour.
It’s 1030am and the whole family is still asleep. I’ve been moving around the house in stealth mode since 6am trying not to wake anyone up. It drives me bonkers!
I’m slowly coming around to the idea that @GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social and it’s not 100% comparable to the native OS camera performance is acceptable and worth the inconvenience. I don’t take as many photos as I used to anyway. Not fully swayed yet, but really considering making it my daily carry.
Another morning of trying to quiet Hazel(the dog) from running from window to window after a squirrel in the yard while everyone is sleeping. Hard wood floors are noisy.
I feel there could be a good movie made out of the early Seattle grunge scene. Mudhoney, Mother Lovebone, Soundgarden, Nirvana, and Pearl Jam. They all were somewhat friends and got big in the same time period. And some of those bands came out of other mentioned. A great musical history.
