Try your hardest to explain any comment made in this discussion to a typical everyday person. They won't comprehend a single sentence. People really don't seem to understand that many wealthy individuals and families really only have one giant line of credit 🤷♂️. It's up to the individual to figure out methods of wealth preservation.
nostr:npub1hv64t0jlg94p0tpq6zc8mrc5kyfhzwwn8fxp6m45jwdn9pmfs53q0yrjjm that just isn't true. At least, not as often as you would believe. Wealthy people do not always have to work hard to generate more wealth. Lol. It can actually be rather easy.
It is not always true. Some will stumble upon it by sheer luck. Or through inheritance, stealing. But most Bitcoiners worked for it I say. It is possible that some wealthy trust fund kids would have rode the way by putting their money into Bitcoin.
While this is not a very pleasant truth, this has actually happened to quite to quite a few hodlers.
Yes. I have heard.
Remember, it has happened to a lot more anons holding bitcoin. Just that we can never know.
What content is interesting for you?
We are all forgetting things very fast.
What happened to the #blastr vs #outbox debate? Have clients chosen sides? Is there a list of clients that have chosen outbox?

We should set out standards high.

Primal is good but has its own issues.
Nobody is auditing the code. We find out when a dev stumbles upon a bug through sheer luck.
What do you think about Amethyst with Tor?
Why was he killed? I'm deeply saddened by a 2012 Bitcoiner's mysterious death.
It matters. We care about it. But individual anon users like me do not have enough influence on what should be the standard.
Amethyst has Tor support. That's how I plan to protect my IP. And I do not trust Nostr DMs. I move important DMs to SimpleX. nostr:nevent1qqsxjkgxvwkyfn23fq2rz6uhcw5gd5y8mt3ct4t8ntatznrth2ylmjcpr3mhxue69uhkummnw3ezucnfw33k76twv4ezuum0vd5kzmqzyzan24d7taqk59avyrgtqlv0zjc3xufe6vayc8twkjfekv58dxzjyqcyqqqqqqg8kgu2n
The problem with the current world is that repeatation is rewarded.
1. More podcasts sell more ads
2. More articles sell more subscriptions/ads
3. More notes get zapped more
The more you repeat, the more you're rewarded. Because it's the attention economy.
We have 1000s of Bitcoin vs Fiat podcasts. Why don't newcomers build on existing knowledge than create their own knowledge base? Because INCENTIVES.
Who else wants to break this cycle?
Because the incentives are to write about Nostr development to get zapped than to do the development. Could it be an accidental drug? Just like how you might accidentally step on a needle, you might start off thinking you're building distribution but then you find yourself making enough money by simply building distribution, why build a product at all?
This seems to be the main problem with our fallen brothers at the Web3 junction as well. The main job has become marketing rather than product or solving problems.
Where can I read Nostr highlights of the last 2 days?
Sorting by the most recent is a lazy solution some clients have resorted to.

All I'm saying is: not all non-bitcoin tokens are shit. I'd refrain from conveying these statements to your large audiences. Many people will believe your words without a second thought because they trust you.
Instead I would say:
Printing your own *scam* money is the antithesis of Bitcoin.
These shitcoins *that provide no value to the world* are an abomination.
*Can we stop promoting such shitcoins and only promote good coins?*
Two of the greatest innovations in the last 3/4 centuries are Bitcoin and the stock market.
I wish all Bitcoiners acknowledged the fact that enterprises built the world we live in. Issuing new tokens is the same as issuing new stocks. But some tokens are shit just like how some stocks are shit.
Ahahah. This is hilarious.
They have no checks and balances.
Everyone is distracted on content engines like Tiktok, Meta, X, YouTube, nobody is paying attention or giving this a second thought.
I wish Nostr doesn't become another content engine.
We are legendary Pokémon. We can't be captured. Ahahaha.
Seriously though, to fight user capture, we need to control our attention better.
This is how Bitcoin is built. Built to enable these things. Something that is not financial for you could be financial for someone else.
When SegWit and Taproot were introduced, did the core devs anticipate these problems? Why did they not see this as an attack vector back then? Because it is not.
This not an attack on Bitcoin. Runes and Ordinals obey the bitcoin protocol, they do not lead to double spends, 51% attacks, or any of the problems Satoshi built Bitcoin to solve.
This is not an attack just because this new usecase leads to higher fees for vanilla Bitcoin transactions. It is a zero sum game that will slow soon. But people will find ways to make this more useful. Ahahaha
That is true. Switching states/countries is very expensive at the moment. I believe it will get cheaper over time.
