Some of the posts on social media in Europe are signs of extreme danger. Nationalism has a positive side. It aims to preserve a country’s culture and heritage. Conservative political parties that are stubborn, blind and apathetic to the policies that are destroying the fabric of national integrity are also warmongers. Eighty plus years after the last gruesome war, they are calling for war. The intelligentsia has, today, the task of awakening the faculty of thinking among the people.
