Highly recommend nostr:npub142gywvjkq0dv6nupggyn2euhx4nduwc7yz5f24ah9rpmunr2s39se3xrj0 for Android users paired with nostr:npub1kvaln6tm0re4d99q9e4ma788wpvnw0jzkz595cljtfgwhldd75xsj9tkzv or nostr:npub1h2qfjpnxau9k7ja9qkf50043xfpfy8j5v60xsqryef64y44puwnq28w8ch to get a non-kyc (custodial) lightning wallet and address.
Thanks, I’ll check out out those options!
The Primal wallet is not available in Canada. I know there’s probably a way to connect an external wallet but it wasn’t obvious.
Looking to recruit a few noobs to Nostr. What are the recommended clients for Android (I’m a happy iOS nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 user)?
#asknostr
I sold my Twitter handle (for half a bitcoin!) a month ago and decided going back was supporting a platform I didn’t believe in. Not only is Nostr a free and open network, but the users feel like they are part of building something.
Would love to have Twitter (the “following” feed, not the insidious “For You” algorithm) and Nostr in one combined view.
Would have been easy to do in the earlier years of Twitter, when there was an API and a whole ecosystem of clients.
I hope there is a future where walled gardens aren’t acceptable to users and X just adopts Nostr. Problem solved.
Back on Nostr after a long hiatus. Am seriously thinking about getting off twitter permanently…the algorithm is completely fucked.
good point. I like how you phrased it too.
I too have confidence in the Fedimint devs (and Cashu) to mitigate the custodial risks. Looking forward to the next year...am super bullish on ecash "banking".
Although I am a fan of the project, I don't like Fedimint being referred to as a scaling solution. it is a fully custodial solution and loses many properties that make Bitcoin what it is.
OnlyZaps mode is genius.
It’s buggy and very few features, makes Damus seem super polished. Dunno if it’s android too, I’m using test flight.
Definitely, different services on different protocols. Charge by the sat.
Lots of proposals being discussed right now. My preferred one https://github.com/nostr-protocol/nips/issues/116
That looks pretty reasonable, but why not implement an existing spec that is based on years of research and testing?
