I’ve been twitter free for two weeks and it’s getting easier every day to not reach for the bird app.
It’s a similar trajectory to when I gave up smoking, first week is the hardest then you just start forgetting that you once smoked cigarettes.
Having Nostr as a replacement makes it so much easier.

Yea it definitely progressed on the user experience part from both more content and the technological part. Now you can have a very good experience as non technical person if you use Amethyst or primal as client. Other clients are not good enough for most people but it is pretty normal in alpha version.
I am excited where we will go next 2-3 years forward!

Sorry. But is that #nostr fault? Freedom means being exposed to shitty views, all of them. The desire to sanitise and censor views deemed to be inappropriate is a slippery slope. We have seen where that leads.

I see what’s happening in Brazil and it looks rough. I’m blessed to live in Australia, it’s a pretty placid country for the most part. It’s hard to see things like this unravel around the world. Have you thought about starting an alt pseudonymous account with no reference to your nationality and/or gender? In a perfect world this would be unnecessary but we are far from this.

When I click on “follow” then appears as “unfollow” but it doesn’t stay that way. Any suggestions? Couldn’t find a clear solution on reddit

I never deleted twitter, but I don't have any desire to go on there anymore. Nostr is so much better. I didn't realize how addictive Twitter was. For me, getting on nostr was like a social media detox.
