A few weeks ago, I hosted a two-hour Bitcoin workshop in Spanish. I began with a brief history of money and then delved into how Bitcoin works, its fundamental characteristics, its enormous potential, and the crucial importance of self-custody.

Hosting the workshop was an incredible experience. It provided firsthand insight into another profound lesson about Bitcoin:

Bitcoin does not only empower us financially; it empowers us as a whole. It challenges us to rethink our views and encourages personal growth (If you had asked me years ago, I never would have imagined I’d be hosting a Bitcoin workshop).

Helping and teaching others about Bitcoin was gratifying because it sets them on a journey that can also empower them if they choose to go down the rabbit hole. While this journey is not easy and requires time, every Bitcoiner knows that it is definitely worth it.

Teaching about Bitcoin is like planting a seed that grows organically over time, much like the Bitcoin network itself.

Hace unas semanas, realicé un taller de dos horas sobre Bitcoin en español. Comencé con una breve historia del dinero y luego profundicé en cómo funciona Bitcoin, sus características fundamentales, su enorme potencial y la crucial importancia de la auto-custodia.

Organizar el taller fue una experiencia increíble. Me permitió experimentar de primera mano otra lección valiosa de Bitcoin:

Bitcoin no solo nos empodera financieramente; nos empodera en su totalidad como individuos. Nos desafía a replantear nuestras ideas/opinions y fomenta el crecimiento personal. (Si me hubieran preguntado hace años, nunca habría imaginado que estaría dando un taller sobre Bitcoin).

Enseñar a otros sobre Bitcoin fue gratificante porque los pone en un camino que también puede empoderarlos si deciden explorar la madriguera. Aunque este camino no es fácil y requiere tiempo, todo Bitcoiner bien sabe que definitivamente vale la pena.

Enseñar sobre Bitcoin es como plantar una semilla que crece orgánicamente con el tiempo, al igual que la red de Bitcoin en sí misma.
