Maybe that’s the plan all along. Sadly, I think a lot of people will go along with CBDCs without much resistance. Bitcoin is digital by nature. Paper money is analog by nature. CBDC is the state’s attempt to digitize control, and will be Bitcoin’s biggest rival.

I just told some buddies at work that the plan is simple: “stay humble, stack sats, stay solvent”. The two replies I got were

1) But you can’t buy anything with bitcoin.

2) I should have bought bitcoin when I was 20.

2,100 sats for any video of bitcoin mining on a solar energy plant. Specifically visible solar panels and visible ASICs, can be in a moving shot that pans/walks from one to the other.

I'll take wind farm bitcoin mining as well if you know of any.

A generic shot of a solar energy field is useful too, aerial preferred, but less sats for that.

The apps on your phone can see what other apps you've installed.

This means your banking app knows every single bitcoin related app you've installed, and a your closedsource/bigtech apps can fingerprint you just by the list of your installed apps. They can, and probably are, snitching to gov what you've got installed on your phone.

This is why you should have a compartmentalization strategy (e.g. using multiple user profiles on Android), and avoid using closedsource apps as much as you can.
