Double ratchet messaging is deployed on iris.to. Try sending me a message at https://iris.to/sirius ! Thanks to Human Rights Foundation for supporting the project!

"Add to home screen" on iOS to enable push notifications.

The point of double ratchet is 1) hiding message metadata (who you're messaging and when) and 2) keeping your past and future message history safe in case your main Nostr key is revealed.

I'll write a nip for it. Basically it's Signal's "double ratchet with header encryption", but using Nostr keys instead of symmetric header key rotation. The algorithm is not too complicated. https://signal.org/docs/specifications/doubleratchet/

Typescript library, only uses cryptography from nostr-tools. https://github.com/mmalmi/nostr-double-ratchet

"Public invite" on your "new chat" page is published on Nostr. It's used when you first send message at someone's iris.to profile. Initial message to public invite is from anonymous sender, but publicly visible. From thereon, keys are rotated and stay hidden. "Private invite" is not published, so it's more private when shared over QR code or other channel.

Sometimes the chat sessions stop working at iris.to, probably it's incorrectly saving an old version of the ratchet session state. Working on it.

Not sure if you're already using it but SimpleLogin makes it easier to deal with spam since you can give temporary email addresses to every new thing that requires one. All emails are redirected to your main email address(es). You can toggle a temporary address off if you notice it starts redirecting lots of spam. That way you can be really picky who you give your real email address to.

It's all rather chaotic, isn't it?

Remember to stay vigilant on how it's affecting your workflows tho

I rarely dabble in political talk but if Trump is crowned king by his administration and by his supporters, does that mean Trump will make America United...

...Kingdom...again?

Not to mention the largely violent marketing campaigns that were required to spread the new and allegedly better religion. Polytheism is the conclusion that pretty much all of the peoples on this planet came to independently without any marketing.

Fun fact:

The bible doesn't refute the existence of other gods, it just commands to have a preference to one over the others.

I think it's written in the english translation that "you shall have no other gods before me".

"Me" being the christian god. Amongst other gods.

But I think your point still stands.

The revolution will be relayed

Uncle Rockstar trying to buy a shitcoin I've never heard of in my DMs. How stupid can scammers get? Damn.

I'm guessing plenty of people (myself included) are more used to be lurkers on the internet in general so the lack of engagement on posts is not a deal breaker at all. Some people are here for the feeds and because the alternatives are predatory and broken.

If you can afford it I would go with a high-end PC any day because it brings so many possibilities. Then again you could just stack those sweet sats.

Depends on what you're working on. Updates on 5-10 threads per day is pretty average I'd say.
