- Everything gets crazier this close to the holidays and Iβm never a fan of the chaos and disruption of the day to day.
I enjoy the time spending with loved ones when the holidays are actually here, but everything leading up to it is an absolute nightmare; Itβs bittersweet.
Plus side is I got this set up in time and will have this running.

Random artwork in an office hall I was visiting. Easy to get use to generic artwork hanging around in every day life, most buildings with art unchanged from the 80s/90s - but I stopped to look at this one.
I enjoy the simplicity and tranquility of it. 
That was one aspect I was worried about in this setup; the capabilities of the RPi itself limiting what it can do with an external drive because of that bottleneck.
I have an old PC that would probably be more efficient, trade off with that is the required power use and more of a hassle to get going now - but probably less of a headache later and more βfuture proofβ now with that difference in speed.
Decisions, decisions.
Makes sense.
I read various things prior to asking here that 1TB would be a bare minimum to start and 2TB being sufficient for the foreseeable future, and 4TB being plenty, though seemingly one of those things no one can really predict ultimately.
I had a 2TB SSD from another project waiting to be used and wasnβt sure if this was a good one for it - but Iβm thinkin I might give it a test.
