My posts are so lame I even unfollowed myself. π
That would be amazing but I think #[4]β is working on something to enable a one tap zap as well. Fingers crossed!
If you do get that working, I think the best experience would be quick tap to send your preconfigured default amount and long tap to bring up the custom screen. Great work!
It is great for flexibility but it added the need for one more tap. Anyway around this? I want one tap zaps and itβs gone from 2 to 3.
Twitter will never be fixed because it will always rely on an algorithm designed to build engagement. Given enough time, it will always lead to an angry and toxic environment because thatβs an easy way to get clicks. The incentives are not aligned with human flourishing.
Anyone else noticed that the bitcoin grifters on Twitter who arenβt really about decentralization and censorship resistance havenβt made their way over to nostr? Enjoy it while it lasts.
Get them on nostr and share their account. Weβll zap them into submission.
Pretty sure itβs not possible to truly know how many followers you have anyways. You gotta be using the same relays for it to show up in your count. I think.
Once in awhile, with the right prompt, chat gpt nails it. Hereβs the prompt:
Describe how a permission-less, censorship resistant social media platform that transmits notes and other stuff over relays and allows people to send small amounts of bitcoin to each other could change the world for the better.
Hereβs the reply:
By using decentralized relays, this platform could enable individuals to communicate freely without fear of censorship or government surveillance. It could also enable financial transactions to occur without intermediaries, such as banks or payment processors, which could be especially valuable in areas where access to traditional financial services is limited.
Additionally, a decentralized social media platform could help to address issues related to data privacy and ownership. Currently, social media platforms collect and store vast amounts of user data, which is then used to target advertising or sold to third parties. By leveraging decentralized relays, users could maintain control over their data, ensuring that it is not exploited without their consent.
Overall, a permission-less, censorship-resistant social media platform that transmits notes and other content over decentralized relays and allows people to send small amounts of Bitcoin to each other has the potential to promote freedom of expression, financial empowerment, and protect user privacy.
Did it miss anything?

Schiff laid out the best explanation Iβve found on the current inflationary environment in this pod.
Well worth a listen.

Nobody understands the problem better than him. Unfortunately, nobody understands the solution less than him.
The thing I love about nostr is it feels like interacting with people in real life. Twitter is a hellscape where we are all worse versions of ourselves.
Iβm using paid relays and free relays. By using free ones, am I essentially removing the paywall offered by the paid relays?
Well at least one of us can see it. Lol.
And I see the option on this post but not others. See if you see this zap.
