I’m unable to follow myself. No option to do so to remove those notifications

Figured it out.

On your profile page tap following, find yourself in the list and unfollow.

Doesn’t happen on Damus anyway. But I see a strange number [778458] with your post :)

It will happen if you shaka posts in your own thread.

That strange number is the current Bitcoin block height at the time of writing.
