This essay is the only thing that made law school make sense.
The inconsistency of law drove me nuts - how arbitrary every decision was. It basically boiled down to "I don't like X so I'm not allowing it"
Coming from engineering, this was hell.
Until I read this essay. It explains that everything needs to be interpreted by a person, and people can only interpret according to their background/experience/values. And so multiple people can "see" the same situation and draw completely different conclusions.
So the most important decision you can make is choosing a jurisdiction+forum that's favorable toyou. A judge / jury pool that matches your values
You'd enjoy "the myth of the rule of law" by some Yale professor
Basically the only reason the law felt consistent was because the people interpreting it had a nearly identical background, life experience and values

What's the nostr way of sharing a video?
Recorded a demo and saw this, I'll never be a professional podcaster. You can just build an MCP vector DB so your team can seamlessly share knowledge between their ai assistants
Fucking boomers love making that joke
MCP server to let you download, transcribe, and chat with fountain podcasts - still WIP and heavily vibe coded so if anythings broken it's claudes fault https://github.com/JohnZolton/Gobble
The project is kind of confused bc it started as "I want to chat with an entire podcast series (as a vector db)" and kind of pivoted to chatting with individual podcast episodes by loading into context.

The retirement calculations start to get truly retarded
I just want chat-with-podcast so I can easily find sections

New addition
I'll probably make the podcast KB a series of tools so LLMs can query and dig down to find answers
Okay we have downloading, transcribing, and advertisement tagging and summaries working
Idk how useful summaries are they're kind of too high level
Maybe useful for the vector db to narrow down what episodes to query.
Idk wouldn't the vector db take care of that anyway?
This is kind of a combo if two goals:
- Process podcasts so I never hear an ad again
- turn entire series into vector db for RAG
Like "chat with all of RHR"
AI personalized inspo posts optimized for productivity
Wouldn't it be cool if you could create a knowledge base from an entire podcast series
Download all the episodes, transcribe, extract key insights, vector db, rag Q&A
How can I manifest myself out of these allergies
I truly don't understand this bifurcation people have.

You literally only have capital and your decision is how to allocate it
And MSTY folks all ignore the big disclaimer that MSTY has "LIMITED UPSIDE POTENTIAL" but just ignore that part
