Some Steps To Watch and Protect yourself From Impersonators and scam Accounts On Nostr:

#1 Check Nip05s, Most the time impersonators of someone will not have a Nip05.

#2 Check for recent posts, if the accounts feed consists of largely Reposted notes from "Themselves" this is a red flag and often something scammers do to appear legitimate.

#3 Look for suspicious posts, for example if you see a post from "Odell" and he is offering to double your sats or make you rich from zapping his note or buying a course, it's a scam block them and don't interact!

#4 If anyone DMs you and says you owe them money for using their relay, or sends you an invoice for a relay block them and don't interact unless you use that relay and it's from a valid verifed account.
