scarcity requires trade-offs.

We need to start articulating this in years of new issuance. $21B at today’s price would be over 1.5x the annual new bitcoin issuance. nostr:note1pm6sw8qm7m0peuegv4zpmtgq6wagxas00yag6muuczf2j7ezwy8qyxdchz

It does make sense that we’re lower for longer. A bunch of degens who share my bullishness have to be humbled. Not sure how much longer this goes. Seriously, how many degens are there?

Just stay humble, GDI nostr:note1e6mjcr9njgk3l9e6842xnqtjg262dufxuspw54vatlevhv8w2ytqgc5lgu

Nope, when bitty is $1M/BTC on its way to a whole lot more, governments wont have funds to operate as they will have no buyers of their treasuries.

Definitely not in the US, at least. They’ll be trying to calm the “masses”…the bigger threat to bitcoiners is the “masses.”

No more dry powder. Been out for months …let’s get on with it already. nostr:note14jp3v4n322v7p7plf33u2e9qhx0jz4p9ylm4qvvgyyvjs73de4fqktmnsd

For any “meaningful” duration I strongly disagree with 1-3 … and bitcoin makes 5 obsolete because bonds won’t be generating 30%+ annual coupon rates. Bitcoin *replaces* bonds.

The only useful “bitcoin bond” duration would be less than 4-years to manage “short-term” volatility. And most bond buyers doing any volume are not max bidding short-duration paper. And those with a mandate to “buy bonds” aren’t touching bitcoin-backed bonds right now and by the time they get their mandates, bitcoin is already gonna have disrupted bond markets.

Why would any investor buy a bitcoin-backed bond? Those who believe in bitcoin should objectively just buy / earn bitcoin. Those who don’t believe in bitcoin think that bitcoin-backed bonds are stupid.

Serious question. That we should discuss as a community.

I know some Bitcoin influencers have made it their reputation and it their livelihood to jet-set the world, advocating this concept of better yielding, less risky debt but I think they’re barking up the wrong tree. Bitcoin makes debt markets - at least the ones we have today - obsolete.

The entire concept of bitcoin bonds is stupid. Just buy bitcoin.

VC funds don’t exist on a bitcoin standard. nostr:note1myu4elzmp7jgfj039aedgrdkzay27dg47qdn9zmglxs7xr0kaquqlwp920

Judging from Howard Lutnick’s clapping today, I’m expecting this chart to change dramatically in the next month or, at most, two. nostr:note14kxr7qn6jez2jtcg7lw7wutq68ks2hfwgf809mzz8d4npu2ad4yquevtyc

And under fiat, the only way to create shareholder value is scale. With Bitcoin, quality delivers shareholder value. Also, public companies will be forced to shrink, which is good for free markets (and by extension everyone), too.
