Immersive Sim

With apparent success of Gobliiins 5 Pierre Gilhodes had announced that a crowdfunding campaign for Gobliins 6 is coming early next year.

Maybe it's "Flying Through Space" in Russian version?

nostr:npub1y4hhv5ttdsvzl7t0pr0rys7avx5zjv5pyjfgnldrthm2c3q6fnsq3ft26u This, like the Williams' remake of Colossal Cave Adventures, just confuses me. The originals of both are widely available, and this just seems like nostalgia mining. Bard's Tale did this as well a few years ago.
You can't go back to those old days. Let them be pleasant memories.
nostr:npub1mw24muwyqxxkyt8jmh6j4zgqvc6jf6zfecmxlaxmh6qgn5a60m8sc65xgx I see a lot more merit in this than Colossal Cave. You can't go back, BUT this has a potential of exploring a few forgotten game mechanics without jumping through too many hoops. That can be fun for people who are interested in gaming, and not just old school Wizardry fans
Digital Eclipse just launched a 3D remake of the first Wizardry game than runs on top of the original Apple II code. 😯 (Early access)
nostr:npub1y4hhv5ttdsvzl7t0pr0rys7avx5zjv5pyjfgnldrthm2c3q6fnsq3ft26u Note that is requires not any bible, but KJV specifically.
Reminds me of Borges' "Pier Menard, author of the Quixote": "...in a certain newspaper, whose protestant leanings are surely no secret". ;)
nostr:npub1y3qqz406ww46wqwu74gxw5dzv9673ptyykt4ph2rphsvunck78yqx8wmll Isn't KJV the most used Bible in the world?
This isn't an exaggeration. At the start the game tells you to keep the Bible handy, and then just proceeds to throw verses at you instead of puzzle hints.

A game that asks an important question: "What if Myst was bad, and all puzzles relied exclusively on looking stuff up in the Bible?" 🤔

nostr:npub1y4hhv5ttdsvzl7t0pr0rys7avx5zjv5pyjfgnldrthm2c3q6fnsq3ft26u If you mean WASD altogther, Dark Castle on the Mac used it in 1986! I discovered this recently: https://www.instagram.com/p/CwimGbpB0_E/
nostr:npub1v6l3r9snezz0g673xzefwkw269hhzsw6neeldjusfwaa65dpvyzq59hqs5 No, I don't mean that. I knew of this fact because people have been bringing it up in the WASD-in-fps discussion for over a decade now, even though it doesn't belong in there. 😄

nostr:npub1y4hhv5ttdsvzl7t0pr0rys7avx5zjv5pyjfgnldrthm2c3q6fnsq3ft26u I don't get it. The link says it's available to download and watch today but I backed the thing and haven't even received access yet. The virtual screening for backers isn't even until September 2nd.
nostr:npub1wsgm9l82qt2pxka5arr04pvw62ymczyj47046v766j3xat8dg3sqm2zdle I've seen a few people say that they're watching it, whom I assumed to be backers, so you might wanna double check your email.

Do you have a chill DOS game that you revisit when you want to relax?
