Can I see some hands?

Don't disgrace the family honor by filling it with any of that diesel shit from Cuba. We only use high-purity solvents in this family, like Satan himself intended.

nostr:npub18994crjwnldrukwym5lz3y2nae84s84v20m2rkngtjnyg549lr6qvxmd6m it rings a bit of The Machine Stops by E.M. Forster, but with a lot of modern woke flavor

I raise you the smart smoke alarm battery which broadcasts its own wifi network and alerts you when your dumb detector goes off.

(I guess the company went bankrupt, good riddance)

nostr:npub18994crjwnldrukwym5lz3y2nae84s84v20m2rkngtjnyg549lr6qvxmd6m Just make sure to rinse it really well first - drill a bunch of tiny (1/8"?) holes in a bucket to make a strainer.

I've read that the roots don't like the fine dust. Never done any A/B tests to confirm this, but intuitively it made sense at the time.

nostr:npub1xpzrkaxt97zguqc5gj3xpkf6ymmxq363zp9xhgdw5h4arvhnr9wsancqs2 yeah plant is in veg and will be for awhile so I'm not worried about it. Also only spraying it on soil, not on foliage.

Keeping the soil dry and adding a layer of sand or DE to the top would be ideal, as it would interrupt the lifecycle and prevent laying more eggs (as they can't reach the subsoil).

Neem oil on soil seems to be working well for now, and I've only sprayed once. Will follow up as necessary, and hopefully it isn't.

I'll probably also bottom-feed only from now on this grow

nostr:npub18994crjwnldrukwym5lz3y2nae84s84v20m2rkngtjnyg549lr6qvxmd6m Topdressing with perlite, hydroton, or even river pebbles will help too.

nostr:npub18994crjwnldrukwym5lz3y2nae84s84v20m2rkngtjnyg549lr6qvxmd6m IME fungus gnats can only be controlled by limiting their food sources (covering exposed soil with a thick layer of inert medium) and going overkill with physical traps (sticky pads near light sources).

Ideally, you only grow during conditions where they're unlikely to take root - dry winters.

I've never tried Neem though, wouldn't want it on anything I was going to eat/smoke. But glad you've had success with it!
