Forwarding .nro files on switch technically works but it won't let me boot off of it. Sad. Oh well still pretty much got everything working so it's a victory. Maybe in the near future the switch homebrew community will make something that makes nro forwarding work better

I was using a .cdi file (which doesn't work even though they are supposed) but I installed a .gdi of the same game and it runs now. I'm not sure I understand why but I also don't really care as long as it works lol

If you pay for hardware it should be yours to do with what you want. This isn't really debatable, I bought the hardware from the company it's no longer theirs. Pretty simple stuff to understand.

So Dreamcast emulation seems to only work with some games but it does work, better than nothing but not ideal.

Ok after an absolutely stupid amount of time spent at my desk tinkering with the switch and switching files around I finally got GBA to emulate on the switch (tested Donkey Kong Country) runs great. Now to see if Dreamcast will emulate nicely.
