Im also 40 and I can get stacked and super lean. It’s all diet. I climb a lot, I run a lot, I train daily, if my diet sucks, I’ll add fat. I think protein snacks are overrated. The more I stick to basic food the leaner I am. Lots of fiber will help you transport everything out. If I overeat on proteins I just get stuffed. Maybe try more fiber stuff and see how it works. You got to find the right balance for YOU! In my opinion your muscular enough. Rather tone down :) hehe. If I’m that stacked I can’t climb long hard routes. I’m 6.2“ meaning if I gain to much weight in muscle, I suffer haha
