If you want a post workout meal, I would recommend rabbit meat. Healthy and you can grow your own high essential amino acid source a lot cheaper than the industrial process of extracting whey protein.

Just thoughts

Butter, beef, bacon and eggs. Don't compromise on the nutrition part - you don't really need anything premade. Well, you can precook the eggs I guess.

I try to maintain a high ratio of protein to either calories, or saturated fat.

A freezer full of beef, venison and lamb. Eggs. Bacon. Homemade jerky & homemade egg bites. Aged cheese. Greek yogurt & raw unpasteurized honey (local is best). Quality bone broth (Kettle & Fire is delicious) if not making your own.

Low friction low effort snacks are the key. Hard boiled eggs and chomps beef sticks are my go too.

Raw ground beef with salt and a little cold pressed organic olive oil tastes delicious. Some beef jerky works well too.

Im also 40 and I can get stacked and super lean. It’s all diet. I climb a lot, I run a lot, I train daily, if my diet sucks, I’ll add fat. I think protein snacks are overrated. The more I stick to basic food the leaner I am. Lots of fiber will help you transport everything out. If I overeat on proteins I just get stuffed. Maybe try more fiber stuff and see how it works. You got to find the right balance for YOU! In my opinion your muscular enough. Rather tone down :) hehe. If I’m that stacked I can’t climb long hard routes. I’m 6.2“ meaning if I gain to much weight in muscle, I suffer haha

Good work! I'm doing carnivore now, so I don't seem to need snacks between meals. I just eat lunch and dinner (lots of meat - sometimes 1-2 lbs each meal, but I still lost weight). Seems to work pretty well. This is my third attempt, starting on 1Jan until Easter, but this year I may try to go beyond Easter. The first year, I was able to get down to my college weight, so it worked out well. The second time wasn't as much of a drop, but this year is going well. Well I generally try to don't snack and have just two good meals per day. But If I have to, apart from meat of all sorts for big meal of the day, I personally use:

Eggs (whatever form, hard boiled for traveling etc);

Sausages, salami etc (but one have to be careful to look for ingredients);

Salmon can be easily eaten even raw sushi style, smoked salmon on the other hand can be stored for some time;

Hard cheeses survive for very long time, they are useful as a snack;

Nuts;

Tartare steak - just a little bite with spoon directly from the fridge 😅

All sorts of fish (fillets) can be prepared like in a minute on a pan, same with a bunch other sea creatures;

China style chicken pieces with nuts, eggs, just quickly prepared on a pan.

You need lots of fruits and veggies on the regular. For me, the easiest and most delicious way to stay consistent is with smoothies.

I mix up a giant batch about once a week. Drink a pint glass right away and put two full blender bottles in the fridge for later. Also great to freeze into popsicles for your kids. I can't get my son to eat fruits or veggies but he will crush some smoothie pops.

I've been carnivore for a bit more than a year. I've settled into hamburger patties, eggs, bacon, sliced ham, and butter twice a day without snacks. I'm eating enough fat that hunger is controlled and there's no need to snack.

do a big roast, cut it up and take a slice when youneeds it. also, the more meet you eat, the less you will need snacks, at least from my experience

I have been loving popcorn. Real salt, Cayenne pepper, A good oil sprayed on, and oregano oil or pepper oil. Damb man this will make parasites run!

I am finding that North American health care over looks parasitic infection. Make an environment that is hard for parasites to live in.

Also you will find as you age your soft tissue aches. That is a mineral deficiency! Don't orally take minerals. Spray them on.

I am currently have a spray bottle of a Magnesium Chlorate, Borax mix Before bed I spray any area's of discomfort and find instant relief and then sleep like a freight train in the swamp... Waking up is the hard part. LOL but once you are awake you are fresh!

also: put in the blender1 banana, 2 eggs, 1 scoop whey (vanilla or chocolate) and cinnamon for a high protein pancake (can add blueberries or peanut butter)
