The group, known for its hardline opposition to gay rights, says it’s time for Christians to “welcome” gays into their churches and embrace them as family members.

The organization’s president, Jim Daly, said Focus on the Family is not changing its mission of promoting traditional marriage but is now focusing on “building bridges” with the gay community.
