Car ownership causes the absolutely worst urban design problems all of our cities face. They are the greatest cost to public infrastructure, while shutting out all human safety and access. Car ownership is a major problem, but pretending that it's primarily an environmental problem, or that EVs solve any problems at all, is all misdirection to keep the auto industry strong.

We have destroyed our cities in order to enable the entitlement of everybody owning a personal car, and have pushed everybody else out. EVs solve none of these problems, they only help with pollution, which they don't do well (ala point 1).

The landowner has a good argument (sarcasm). Sleeping is a basic necessity, so somebody needs to be profiting off of it, and it can't constitute enjoyment.
