I don't think I can recommend it in its current state but the Pine Phone is a proper linux computer in a smart phone package (with external keyboard supported as well as docking)

Personally I think the pine phone is most likely farther along/more refined than the pyra. But I have not been paying much attention to the pyra, my opinion is mostly informed from their less than impressive previous devices.
Did you need to do any carrier certification after that at your own cost? My day job mostly piggy backs on existing certification for a self contained LTE module (the radio and frontend are already certified) so it takes minimal certification thereafter.
So that $40k was for design support and all that?
Is this the successor to those pandora handhelds?
It occurred to me I don't even know if this sort of thing is allowed. You'd think it would be, though. It looks pretty restricted in Chrome (must specify a static list of domains it works with) at least via cursory glance.
NIP-46 looks nice and all, but is there something like a standardized browser plugin that can just hold your keys and sign events given a policy? (Probably just granting permissions for a given domain/url and a set of kind types?)
"experimental-peer-storage
Specifying this option means we will store up to 64k of encrypted data for our peers, and give them our (encrypted!) backup data to store as well, based on a protocol similar to bolt #881." From https://lightning.readthedocs.io/lightningd-config.5.html#experimental-options
ah, with your immediate peers, right? Like for channel state recovery?
What android apps do people recommend? I'm curious if the nostr UX is better with an app that has real local storage support.
how's the war chest holding up?
Tom... I love you but cmon... (It's an affiliate link)
It's not even a good guide (could be worse though, recommends sparrow but is extremely sparse on details)

Did anything ever come of that "github on nostr" effort? I wasn't clear if code was going to be kept on relays or just things like PRs and issues.
Boy, I didn't even see a notification for this reply. Maybe my impression of nostr is partially just a UX issue.
I'm pretty sure I found you because you posted your npub on mastodon a while back. That's definitely how I found waxwing on nostr.
Discovery is not great imho (it's pretty bad on mastodon, too, to be fair).
You're right, I feel a bit bad whining unproductively though and don't really want to subject them to it. I should actually file a ticket...
Why does the iris (web interface on chromium) force me to select a skin tone every time I use an emoji that permits it? I can't be the only one whose skin tone stays mostly static throughout the day, it would be nice if I could set it once and be done with it.
Which devs are on and active on nostr? I'd like to improve the signal to noise ratio of my feed.
I have (in whatever order iris puts them in) so far:

Just confirmed that when I reply to a thread, it doesn't show up on the global feed in an incognito window. 😩
